The Woodstock Ribfest is held annually, traditionally taking place in late June.
The festival brings together outstanding barbecue, live music, and exceptional local talent in the charming town of Woodstock, New Brunswick, one of Canada's Atlantic provinces.
Over the course of three days, thousands of visitors attended the event, which is considered one of the most anticipated highlights of the region's summer calendar.
This year's festival took place on June 26, 27, and 28.
As it does every year, the festival celebrated authentic North American barbecue cuisine, featuring the famous slow-smoked ribs prepared by professional pitmasters, known as "ribbers," who compete for the title of the event's best barbecue.
This year's professional competitors included renowned teams such as Texas Rangers and Fat Boys BBQ, both widely recognized for their award-winning ribs and signature homemade barbecue sauces.
In addition to the outstanding food, visitors enjoyed a full schedule of activities, including a lively Kids Zone, a marketplace featuring local vendors, exciting 50/50 draws, cultural attractions, and continuous live music throughout the weekend.
The main stage featured non-stop musical performances, bringing together established artists as well as talented local performers.
The musical lineup ranged from classic rock and country music to other regional favorites, turning Ribfest into a true celebration of culture, music, and community spirit.
One of the most memorable moments of this year's festival was the performance of three talented young singers who captivated the audience with their voices, charisma, and heartfelt performances.
The first was Sadie Graham, a well-known member of the Woodstock community thanks to her involvement in several local initiatives. Over the years, Sadie has inspired audiences through charity events such as Relay for Life, gained recognition performing with 2 Fools on a Roof, and is now part of the team at the traditional dry bar during Woodstock Ribfest.
Joining her on stage were Juliet Brennan, who returned to perform at Ribfest for the second consecutive year, and Laura Mocerino, another gifted young singer recognized for her performances at community events, local cafés, and as a member of the Woodstock High School Choir.
Together, the three delivered an outstanding performance. With beautiful harmonies, impressive stage presence, and a genuine connection with the audience, they performed timeless international hits. Highlights included the classic "Chiquitita" by ABBA, songs made famous by Michael Jackson, and other beloved classics that had the audience singing along and applauding enthusiastically after every performance.
Their show became one of the highlights of the festival's musical program and demonstrated the strength of Woodstock's emerging generation of talented performers, who continue to earn recognition at major community events.
More than just a food festival, Woodstock Ribfest is also a celebration of generosity and community support. Tips collected at the beverage stations, public donations, and a portion of the proceeds from the 50/50 draws are donated to important local charitable organizations.
This year's beneficiaries included the River Valley Cancer Support Group Inc., the Living Beyond Cancer Peer Support Group, and the John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation, organizations dedicated to supporting cancer patients, survivors, their families, and other valuable community initiatives.
By combining world-class barbecue, outstanding live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a deep commitment to giving back, Woodstock Ribfest continues to reinforce its reputation as one of New Brunswick's premier festivals, creating unforgettable experiences while making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless local families.
